Jerman Beach

Jerman Beach, also known as Pantai Jerman, is a quiet, less-crowded beach located in the southern part of Kuta, Bali, right next to the Ngurah Rai International Airport runway.

Vibe: It offers a more relaxed and local atmosphere compared to the busier parts of Kuta.

Unique Feature: It’s famous for having a great sunset view combined with the unique sight of airplanes taking off and landing over the water.

Activities: It’s a popular spot for a leisurely stroll, enjoying local food from the beachfront warungs (stalls), and plane spotting. There is also a large statue of Baruna (the Balinese God of the Sea) on the beach.

History: The name “Jerman” (German) is believed to come from the area’s history, as it was once an important harbor and later a residential area for German expatriates in the 19th century.
