Option 1 — Hotel Airport Transfer (Recommended for First Time Visitors)
How it works: Book in advance with reservation@bintang-bali-hotel.com or note your flight details when reserving your room. Our driver meets you at the international or domestic arrivals exit, holding a sign with your name.
Cost: IDR 250,000–400,000 depending on vehicle type (sedan, MPV for families, premium SUV) Travel time: 10 minutes door-to-door
Why choose this:
– Skip the taxi line entirely
– Driver speaks English, knows the route
– Fixed price (no surprises)
– Especially valuable for arrivals after midnight, with elderly travelers, or with multiple young children
How to book: Include flight details in your booking notes, or email reservation@bintang-bali-hotel.com with arrival date, flight number, and number of passengers + bags.
Option 2 — Airport Taxi (Fixed Rate Counter)
How it works: After clearing customs, look for the official airport taxi counter inside the arrivals hall. Tell them your destination (“Bintang Bali Resort, Jl. Kartika Plaza, Kuta”), pay the fixed fare, and they assign you a driver.
Cost: IDR 140,000–180,000 (fixed rate)
Travel time: 15 minutes (slightly longer due to taxi line waiting)
Why choose this:
– No app required
– Receipt provided
– Drivers are licensed and vetted
– Reliable backup if your data isn’t working
Caution: Avoid unofficial drivers who approach you in the parking area offering “taxi services” — they often quote 2–3× the fair rate.
Option 3 — Grab Car (Most Popular for Repeat Visitors)
How it works: Open the Grab app, set pickup as “Ngurah Rai Airport — Domestic” or “Ngurah Rai Airport — International” depending on your terminal, and destination as “Bintang Bali Resort” or address “Jl. Kartika Plaza, Kuta”.
Cost: IDR 70,000–110,000 depending on time of day

Travel time: 15 minutes including pickup
Pickup location: Grab drivers pick up at the designated Grab/ride-hailing area outside the arrivals — follow signs (about 200 m walk from arrival exits). Drivers are not allowed to pick up at the main arrival curb.
Tips:
– Download Grab before you arrive in Bali (or use airport Wi-Fi to download after landing) – Have a local SIM (Telkomsel, XL Axiata, or Indosat — buy at the airport for IDR 100,000–150,000) – During peak times (rainy evenings, late nights), surge pricing applies
Option 4 — Gojek Car
Essentially identical to Grab — same process, same approximate pricing, same pickup zone. Gojek is the dominant Indonesian ride-hailing app, while Grab dominates Southeast Asia broadly. Many drivers run both apps.
Tip: Compare prices in both apps if you have time — sometimes one is significantly cheaper depending on driver availability.
Option 5 — Walking (Adventure Mode)
The walk from Ngurah Rai Airport to Bintang Bali Resort is technically possible — about 2 km via Tuban, taking 35–45 minutes — but we strongly don’t recommend it for most travelers.
Reasons to skip walking:
– Sidewalks are inconsistent
– Traffic is heavy and noisy
– Tropical heat and humidity
– Carrying luggage long-distance is exhausting
– You’d be paying for AC and a shower 30 minutes earlier anyway
Only consider if: You’re traveling super-light, you’ve just completed a long flight and want to stretch, and you’ve checked the weather.
